At JaJa, we primarily use ChatGPT for Teams, but most of the tips in this article are also useful for Copilot, Claude, Gemini or other AI chatbots. ChatGPT for Teams guarantees a secure data environment. Check your chatbot's settings and, in free versions, be sure not to share sensitive information about your content marketing.
01.
Priming, prompting and pimping
Think of ChatGPT as an all-around junior who completes tasks super-fast but needs considerable steering - and rarely delivers a finished product. The better your steering, in the form of priming and prompting, the better the outcome. And the less you have to pimp it.
By priming, we mean that you provide the necessary background information from the start. Think of context descriptions, roles, example projects, intermediate steps. Formulate your assignment in a clear prompt and then pimp your outcome by asking new questions or providing additional input.
For example, use the role, task, assignment structure: [role] 'You are the best copywriter in the world and know all about marketing, design, data, AI, content strategy and all adjacent fields.' [task] 'You write B2B copy that demonstrates the added value of organization x.' [assignment] 'Analyze these documents and summarize in 3,000 characters what is interesting to incorporate into a blog article.'
02.
An extra helper for each project
Use the ChatGPT "projects" option to give your all-around junior more direction about what you want. Create project folders and include in each one what information the algorithm should use for the project. Or in what tone, writing style and length you expect answers. Another handy feature is that your chat history will no longer be a mess, but will be neatly arranged by project.
In the left bar, click on the plus sign next to "Projects. Choose a name and add your best practices as instructions and any documents. Think of descriptions like, 'Write in a style similar to that of a quality newspaper such as De Standaard. Make use of all available knowledge about content marketing, ...' Note: This option currently only works in the paid versions of ChatGPT.
03.
Lightning-fast brainstorms
ChatGPT can generate hundreds of content marketing ideas, analyze documents or websites, and structure information in no time. You assess what you find useful and what you want to ask about. This allows you to explore a variety of avenues very quickly.
For example, ask to apply the 7P marketing model to your product. Or have a list of 20 surprising angles, 20 possible formats, 20 trends that align with your SEO strategy, and so on. Review the answers and tell the AI chatbot what you like and in what sense you want to adjust.
Copy this prompt: 'What are the 20 biggest challenges for [target audience] when it comes to [topic]? What are [target audience] most excited about when it comes to [topic]? Provide a tabular overview, each with a brief explanation and a practical example.'

04.
Get more out of webinars
A chatbot like ChatGPT is very strong at summarizing information. Play up that potential in your search for source material. Ask to screen relevant websites and documents for what is interesting for your blog article.
For facts you are unsure about, ask what source they are based on. Know that ChatGPT can also summarize webinars, if they are subtitled. That makes a wealth of digital knowledge accessible. At the same time, keep in mind that ChatGPT also has limitations: per chat, the algorithm "only" considers some 25,000 words or 128,000 tokens.
Copy this prompt: "Summarize this webinar [youtube.com/xxx] in 3,000 characters and focus on the aspects that are interesting to incorporate into a blog article on [topic] for [target audience].

05.
Combine ChatGPT with Perplexity
Originally, we wanted to talk only about ChatGPT in this text. But when it comes to gathering factual information, you can't ignore the tool Perplexity. Perplexity is also described as the perfect marriage between AI chat and search.
Know that Perplexity is language-sensitive and gives better results in English. Also know that Perplexity is often a bit behind and you're better off looking up recent resources or best practices via Google.
Surf to perplexity.ai and ask specific questions like "What are the 20 biggest challenges for marketers in data-driven marketing? Perplexity itself suggests follow-up questions that you can click through to. For example, "What are the most effective methods to improve data quality? Estimate for yourself which sources you find interesting and which subtopics will help advance your story.
06.
Start with a written sheet
Have you received the brief for a blog article? Put the brief into ChatGPT, supplement it with the background documents and examples provided, and ask for an article. From that starting text, you can often use certain passages.
Or they just inspire you to take a totally different approach. You might notice what's missing that would draw your reader into your story. Or you might see that a totally different structure fits your target audience better.
Copy this prompt: 'Can you write an 800-word article in the style of [sample text]? It should be aimed at [target audience] and based on this source of information: [link/pdf/doc].'
07.
Enrich your text with one-liners and metaphors
Does the content of your story already sit well, but does the text feel boring? Then spice up your article with the necessary one-liners or a serving of imagery.
Ask ChatGPT for 20 more creative formulations for your business text. Ask to write a passage more vividly in 20 ways. Or for 20 more specific formulations, 20 strong quotes on your topic and so on.
Copy this prompt: "What 20 metaphors can I use to describe [topic] pictorially?" "Give 20 more creative formulations for [paragraph].

08.
Write 20 better titles - and intros
An article without a strong title is like a store without a window display - no one steps inside. Ask ChatGPT to formulate 20 different titles and intros for each blog article. Tweak the results as you like, for example, "Work with a substantive top title" or "Use a powerful quote that ties in with [topic].
Copy this prompt: 'Give 20 other titles that fit this text? Work with a substantive supertitle and a subtitle that adds color. Strong titles are usually short and connect to the topic. They appeal emotionally, often alliterate, contain nice imagery or a play on words.'
09.
Perform digital final editing
Use ChatGPT to proofread and check your article. Ask the AI chatbot if you didn't overlook any content. Have your text checked for spelling, grammar, punctuation and style errors.
Indicate which final editing rules you want to take into account, for example for the spelling of numbers. Also check for clarity and suitability for your target audience, such as that everything must be tailored to readers with language level B1 in Flanders.
Copy this prompt: 'Check this text for consistency, spelling, grammar, punctuation and style errors. Avoid nominalizations, tangential constructions, archaic and complicated words. Make a table of all the sentences you would rewrite, with the original sentence in column 1 and your rewrite in column 2.'
10.
Optimize for SEO
Give ChatGPT the keywords your blog article wants to work on and ask for a rewritten version with optimized headings and a catchy meta-description.
Or work the other way around to use AI to find inspiration for your next article. Have ChatGPT perform a content gap analysis on your article and your other online content. Ask for a table with missing topics of interest for your SEO in column 1 and 3 angles for articles about them in column 2 each.
Copy this prompt: 'Rewrite this text focusing on the keywords '[keyword 1, keyword 2]'. Add H2 headers and write an attractive meta-description with call to action.'
11.
Super fast texts for socials and ads
Ask ChatGPT to create several posts for your social media based on your blog article. Give a brief description of your approach for each channel and ask for text proposals with image suggestions and hashtags.
Afterwards, also make proposals to include your article in your newsletters and possibly create social ads to distribute your article to your target audience.
Copy this prompt: 'Create 5 proposals for posts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and for newsletter copy based on this article. Consider [target audience] and rank your proposals based on expected engagement for the proposals.'
Try our prompts and find out how ChatGPT can enhance your content marketing. Good luck with your next blog post!
